Let's see if this nasty ghost situation can be somewhat solved next week.

A few of you wondered if this owl is Onni himself or just his luonto, and well, both in a way. His luonto has the form of an owl but he's also able to borrow its shape for himself if needed. And now it was kinda needed. Lalli isn't quite skilled or powerful enough to do that, at least not yet. Seasoned Icelandic mages also have the ability to take on the form of their fylgja-animal, but Reynir obviously can't because he straight up sucks at magic at this point.
